An instant reply is always good, letting people know that you’ll respond to their query soon. People like it when someone quickly answers them. When people message you on your Facebook page, they more or less expect the same – an instant reply.
Well, a decent solution to meet this expectation is the Facebook Response Assistant.
What is it (Facebook Response Assistant)?
It is a response assistance tool which lets you set automatic replies on Facebook pages. The tool gives you some basic customization options. These options let you choose what instant message you want to send as the first response to new messages on you Facebook page.
What does it look like?
Go to your Facebook page and at the top right section, click on ‘Settings’. Then, click on ‘Messaging’ in the left hand settings list and go to ‘Response Assistant’.
The next big question in your mind…
How to Set Automatic Replies on Facebook?
To set automatic replies on Facebook, you must have a Facebook page. This feature is not available for personal profiles as of now.
To enable Facebook auto response, go to the ‘Response Assistant’ section (as shown above). You can choose which message option you want to enable by clicking the Yes/No toggle switch.
You can also edit the instant message you want to send out by clicking on the ‘Change’ button.
Note: Just below the message editing text box, there is an option to ‘Add Personalisation’ to your message. This helps you to address the senders with their first name, full name, etc.
Now, there are 3 messaging options in the ‘Response Assistant’ section.
1. Send Instant Replies to anyone who messages your Page.
2. Stay responsive when you don’t have access to your computer or phone.
3. Show a Messenger Greeting.
Enabling automatic replies on Facebook is definitely very useful as it helps you stay connected all the time to your prospects and customers. But you must remember that only the Facebook auto reply message does not resolve their query. Giving them the information they require ASAP is as important as the instant reply.
